1. Overview
NorthAxis Personal ("the app", hosted at https://personal.northaxis.ai) is a single-user personal life-design tool. It helps the owner keep a private record of their values ("Canon"), decisions, and daily activity. The app is operated by the individual developer and is not a commercial product. Contact: yyanagisawa@gmail.com.
2. Google user data we access
- Sign-in (OpenID, email, profile) — to identify the account owner. The Google account subject (
sub) is the owner identifier; email/name are shown back to you only. - Google Drive —
drive.file— the app reads and writes ONLY the files it creates in your Drive. Your Canon, decision history, and daily reports are stored as files in your own Google Drive. The app cannot see any other Drive file. - Google Calendar —
calendar.readonly— read-only access used to list the events of the current day for your daily report and as reflection material for the app's other personal AI features (see Section 3). - Google Tasks —
tasks.readonly— read-only access used to list the tasks you completed on the current day for the same daily report.
3. How we use the data
Completed tasks are read once per day for the daily report. The current day's Calendar events are read when a feature that needs them runs (composing the daily report, suggesting the day's next step in the morning, and the evening activity-log ingestion). Both are written into a human-readable daily report file in your own Google Drive. The day's Calendar event titles (with their time slots) are also kept in the app's activity log in your own Drive as material for the app's personal AI features. Event titles and completed-task titles may therefore be processed by Anthropic's Claude API acting as a data processor for the app (see Section 5) for these features: Calendar event titles for the daily report's AI summary, the day's suggested next step, the nightly reflective question, and the weekly review; completed-task titles for the daily report and its AI summary only. They are not used for any other purpose. Sign-in data is used only to authenticate you and scope your data to you.
4. Storage and retention
Your content (Canon, decisions, daily reports) lives in your own Google Drive — you own and control it, and you can delete it at any time from Drive. The app stores your Google OAuth credentials (used to refresh access on your behalf) encrypted on the server. Revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions immediately stops all access; you may also email the contact above to request deletion of stored credentials.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties, with two narrow exceptions needed to provide the service: AI processing and email delivery. First, the app sends the material for a given AI feature to Anthropic's Claude API, which processes it solely on the app's behalf. Depending on the feature this material can include: your Canon text; your own notes and voice captures ("ひとこと"); your recent suggested steps and their accept/reject outcomes; health metrics from an integration you connected (e.g. Oura); the day's Calendar event titles (used for the daily report, the suggested next step, the nightly reflective question, and the weekly review); and the day's completed-task titles (used for the daily report and its AI summary only — see Section 3). Under Anthropic's commercial API terms this data is not used to train Anthropic's modelsand is retained only for limited abuse-monitoring periods. Second, when email notifications are enabled the app sends your notification email address and the notification body to Resend, the email delivery service that sends those messages on the app's behalf; depending on your settings the body can include the day's suggested step (which may be generated using Calendar material as described above). Resend processes this data solely to deliver the email. No user data is transferred to advertisers, data brokers, or any other party.
6. Limited Use & AI/ML
The app's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing features described above, do not transfer it except as necessary to provide those features, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law.
Regarding AI/ML: Google Workspace API user data (Calendar, Tasks) is notused to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Where such data is processed by the third-party AI service named in Section 5, it is processed only to produce the individual user's own personal outputs (the reports, questions, and reviews listed in Section 3), under terms that prohibit the provider from training its models on that data.
